You may be a customer of an AES provider if you fall into one or more of the following:
- You receive a bill for your electricity from your strata manager, rather than from a licensed electricity retailer such as Synergy or Horizon Power.
- You live or work in a multi-occupancy building such as an apartment building, retirement village, residential park, shopping centre or office block.
- You have entered a contract for a secondary supply of electricity or electricity-related services. You still get a bill from a licensed retailer, such as Synergy or Horizon Power, and pay another provider for electricity. Payment to the secondary provider could be on a cents per unit or via a membership scheme.
